The days when there is no school

The lyrics and music of Kostas Makrygiannakis, were the starting point for the design of the lyric animated video of the new song by Foivos Delivorias entitled “The days when there is no school”.

Based on the design core, in the happy and optimistic style that the song exudes, a custom display font was designed, such as the ones that we as students sketched sketched in notebooks and book covers. The childhood of the font, combined with its strong graphic presence, contributed to the creation of a style that served as a “roof” for all compositions.

As pictorial elements, phrases of the lyrics were visualized, in a doodling style – an invocation to the school years of all of us, when we dreamed and sketched carelessly. These illustrations function both as a visual respite in the lyric video, and as a surprise for the viewer, evoking emotions from his childhood and bringing to mind moments of carefreeness and absolute innocence.

The video was completed with the movement of all the elements, and their synthesis in a single stop motion aesthetic – an aesthetic which is largely followed by apprentice animators, thus intensifying the concept.
